Harry Potter fans are all over this right now… but for the rest of us who love the series (but don’t LOVE the series), Amazon’s got an exclusive Collector’s Edition of J. K. Rowling’s TALES OF THE BEEDLE BARD (due December 4, 2008). At a hundred bucks it’s a little on the pricey side, but it’s a beautiful book.1

complimenti!
I’m pretty sure I’m going to be buying this for myself — er — my kids. not the hundred dollar version, but something more affordable. If I remember correctly, i bought two copies of HPDH so my son and I wouldn’t have to battle over who got to read it first. Not that we’re obsessed or anything …
Probably I will by this book for my cousin, maybe i can “make” him read it
Pricey indeed. And is bard just another name for Harry…?
$100? yeah… the $7.59 copy is more my style.
For people complaining about the price of the book: put a bigger sign “There’s also a standard edition“
)
And the collector’s edition book is really a beautiful one!
OK, so we are not used to paying $100 for a book BUT, we will gladly spend a hundred or so on a few dvd’s. Books used to be something that stayed in the family for generations…something like this will make sure you keep your book from getting wet in the bath tub and allow you something to read to your grandchildren someday.
I think the proceeds go to a children´s charity and that´s why it´s so expensive. The stories are rather good though (I have the audio book
, I can safely recommend them!
