  1. The Great American Book Giveaway

As if M.J. Rose didn’t already do enough for writers, book promotion and the publishing industry. Now she’s gone and created The Great American Book Giveaway, a program that gives away a new book to hundreds of randomly selected people who’ve entered their e-mail address.

There’s no charge or obligation for entering, and your e-mail address won’t be used for any other reason than to let you know if you’ve won. What’s more is that the books they give away change each week and you get to pick which one you want should you win.

Visit the Web site and be sure you read the complete rules.

  2. Great Series From Konrath

Konrath has a great series of posts going on right now.

If it wasn’t yet painfully clear to everyone by this point, being a writer these days is the same thing as running a small business. Check PJ Parish’s comments for details…

  3. Ski Eva T.

I’m trying to stay on topic these days and not veer off into stuff that has nothing to do with writing or books, but I’ve decided that former Olympic skier Eva Twardokens is nothing short of awesome to the hundredth power.

(As if she needed me to say that.)

  5. My First Comic Book?

I’ve got a really cool opportunity to maybe write a comic book for a great organization. No hints now… the project’s under wraps a little at the moment, but I’m pretty excited about it. Plus, I get to work with some old friends and the illustrator is damn good. It should be awesome.

  6. Do You People Not Have Ears?

Sorry… more off topic chaff here, but please, America, come to your senses and do the right thing:

Stop voting for Antonella Barba and Sanjaya Malakar.
